Sons of Ken are actual sons of men named Ken, Spike Burridge and Michael Moran. They describe themselves as a “Discotronica band from the southern quarter of the United Kingdom” and “a very new electronic duo formed by two very old men.” Although the duo only released their debut release “The Work All Nite EP” in May 2023, each member has decades worth of professional music production and sound design experience.
Spike has spent much of the past 20 years as an Audio Specialist with a wide range of mix credits. Primarily working with Disney, Paramount & Sony, his work can be heard on TV shows such as Moon Knight, Ms Marvel and Wandavision; Animations such as Moana and Encanto as well as games such as Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Death Stranding.
Michael has an extraordinary amount of film/tv scoring, song writing and record production credits to his name. He represented the UK in the 1977 Eurovision Song contest. He has written theme tunes for British TV shows such as The Krypton Factor, Taggart, and Minder. He heavily contributed to the creation of “Barcelona,” the theme tune for the 1992 Olympics performed by Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballé. He has also produced recordings for the likes of George Harrison, Placido Domingo, Elaine Paige and Lemar.
