Beat the Monday blues with an uplifting, motivating song to get you going through the rest of the day and maybe even the rest of the week. Today’s music is “Colors” by US3R.
US3R the pseudonym of Kristian, an electronic artist and producer originally from Palm Springs, CA. Now residing in Seattle, he’s been writing and producing music since the age of 12. He attributed his early start in music to the creative environment he grew up in. His mother, along with his uncle was a touring musician for the Righteous Brothers and his father is a studio bass player and voice over artist.
US3R’s music has a rather eclectic sound that he describes as “Dystopian Pop”. In particular, “Colors” was written using artificial neural networks (AI) to generate lyrics. He then attempted to evoke the feeling those crafted lyrics and capture them in musical form.
“The purpose of this project is to raise awareness about the use of AI in music. In the future, music will be generated “for artists” rather than “by artists” – and this song attempts to start a dialogue about what is next in commercial music.”
