Google Fonts
Google Fonts is a library of more than a thousand free and open source font families, an interactive web directory for browsing the library, and APIs for using the fonts via CSS and Android. The website is available in more than 135 languages with intent to enable font discovery and exploration.
Font Squirrel
Font Squirrel offers a collection of commercial-use fonts that are handpicked with a focus on quality without ambiguous terms. The site’s aim is to be a “Free Font Utopia” for designers so that they can save both time and money obtaining high-quality fonts and typefaces for commercial use.
Font Bundles.net
Although not all fonts on Fontbundles.net are free, they are all of the highest quality. The site also regularly offers savings of up to 96% off the fonts they sell. A free font is added to the site every week and the marketplace allows artists to register their fonts for sale so that they can be included in font bundles and deals.
Font Storage
This font directory has several handy functions. Not only does it allow you to search fonts by type but it also shows which fonts support certain languages. Very handy if you are looking to publish text in languages other than English. What’s more, the site has a Font Playground where you can view 2 different fonts together on a mock up web page.
1001 Fonts
Despite the site’s name, 1001 Free Fonts doesn’t feature exactly 1001 free fonts. In fact, the amount is actually closer to 28,001! Please note that not all listed fonts are for commercial use. However, the site does allow you to separatly search through those that are.
