Did you know that the above quote is often taken out of context? Many people think the phrase means that you should stop designing or doing anything if you’re already satisfied with the result. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Saint-Exupéry was actually trying to get designers to use their creativity and explore their thinking before settling on something. He wanted them to constantly work through ideas without hesitation or fear of failure. This way, they’ll never run out of ideas and will always have room for improvement.
